A café site that takes orders before the kettle's on

The Daily Grind is a complete café build: browse the menu, add a flat white to your basket, pick a collection time and collect a loyalty stamp - all without an app download or a queue.

The brief

Most café websites are a photo, a phone number and a PDF menu. The brief: build the café site every independent coffee shop actually needs - one that takes order-ahead seriously, rewards regulars, and can be updated in seconds when the cake of the day changes.

The approach

The design leans into warmth: cream and espresso tones, a hand-written chalkboard accent for daily specials, and photography-first sections that feel like sitting in the window seat. It deliberately avoids the cold, corporate template look - a café sells atmosphere, and the site has to carry it.

Functionally, everything points at two jobs: get the order started, and get the regular back. The menu is a live, filterable card system with a working basket and collection-time picker. The loyalty card is digital - stamp, count, free-coffee state - so 'every 10th coffee free' stops being a soggy bit of cardboard.

What's inside

Not screenshots of ideas - working features you can try in the live demo right now.

Order-ahead with basket

A real menu-to-basket flow with collection times, not a 'call us' cop-out.

Digital loyalty stamps

A working stamp card - tap to stamp, watch the free coffee get closer.

Chalkboard menu system

Coffee, brunch, lunch and cakes as filterable cards you can update in seconds.

Local-first storytelling

Roastery story, opening hours, dog-friendly badges and a find-us section that sells the visit.

Could your business use this?

  • Order-ahead and click-and-collect without app-store fees
  • A loyalty scheme your regulars will actually use
  • Menus you can change yourself - no reprints, no PDFs
  • A site that makes a small café feel like a destination
