The brief
Restaurants live and die by covers, yet most sites bury 'book a table' under a gallery of blurry poppadoms. The brief: a premium, editorial restaurant site where reserving a table is the headline act - and where the kitchen's story earns the higher price point.
The approach
The visual language borrows from print menus and candlelight: deep maroon and aubergine, warm gold, an elegant Cormorant serif for headings and generous negative space. Photography is treated full-bleed and moody, like the room itself.
The reservation flow is front and centre - party size, date, time slot - and repeats at natural decision points. The menu is structured data rather than a PDF, so dishes, spice levels and prices are scannable on a phone one-handed on the sofa. Private dining gets its own enquiry path because it's the highest-margin booking a restaurant takes.
